As CEO, Tim is passionate about providing innovative, cutting-edge technology solutions to businesses, households and utilities so that they can better understand, manage and save their energy. His experience spans energy management, energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, smart metering and associated research & development. Tim has a B.Bus.Sci Honours Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Daniel, a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), has over 12 years’ experience in construction, energy management and electrical engineering, having worked at Anglo Building Projects & Iskhus Power before joining ELDO.
Stephan is a qualified CA (SA) and completed his articles at Ernst & Young, having left the company in 2011 as an assistant manager in the Assurance division. Following that, he joined Tenova Mining and Minerals (previously known as Bateman Engineering) where he held various finance positions, including being GM Finance of the Projects division.
Daniel is a metering, software and communications expert, with over 9000 experience (seven years) in the smart metering space. He is one of ELDO’s co-founders, and has been a key individual in guiding the company’s technology, focusing particularly on internally-developed solutions, as well as 3rd party software and communications.
Ilze is a specialist in the fields of energy management, energy resale and tariff optimisation. She has over 18 years’ project delivery experience across South Africa and Africa at large, having worked across all service levels within the property, large development and municipal sectors.
Justen has over 25 years’ experience within the Solar PV, MV and LV electrical projects fields. He has been a construction, project and technical manager as well as an OHS chairman, having worked for Netcare, Afrox Healthcare and Deloitte, among others, before joining ELDO in 2015.
Irvan has extensive experience in the green energy sector, most notably in the innovation space. As the winner of the 2014 GAP ICT Innovation Hub Awards, a Top 20 finalist in the JHB Green City Startup Challenge and a regular adjudicator for the Mail & Guardian Greening the Future Awards, Irvan leads ELDO’s energy-intelligence department with a pioneering approach. He has an MA Soc.Sci. from UCT, a Petroleum Policy Economics Diploma from Wits Business School, and an M.Phil.Eng. from UCT (thesis pending).
Roger is a professor of chemical engineering with over 35 years’ engineering, project management and process optimization experience, having worked at Bosch and Associates, Watson Edwards van der Spuy and the WSP Group.
Mitesh was a project manager/energy auditor for Built Africa Energy Solutions, as well as a commissioning engineer at Eskom’s Koeberg Nuclear Power Station before joining ELDO in 2016. He has a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from CPUT, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration. He is a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Measurement and Verification professional and an ISO 50001 Energy Management System Implementation Expert.
Daniela worked as a writer within the advertising and TV industries for over six years in both South Africa and London, before joining ELDO in 2015. She has a BA Law from UCT and is currently completing her honours degree in English Literature.
Pieter has extensive experience in electrical construction, instrumentation and mechanical fitting, having worked in 11 electrical council departments. He is proficient in all types of installations, from low voltage up to 66kV. Pieter’s expertise also extends to working in hazardous areas, having overseen projects for Sasol and African Explosives.
Simon worked in London for 12 years in banking and operations management, returning to South Africa in 2011. Following this, he worked on numerous energy-efficiency and solar PV projects in both the commercial and industrial sectors. Simon has designed and implemented energy-efficient solutions in the lighting, power metering, energy management and power factor correction spheres for companies such as Pick n Pay, Spar and the Hilton Hotel Group, amongst others. He is also a qualified game ranger and has worked in Antarctica.
